The word has been put out there that we back up will not be looking to sign a new goalkeeper for
next season, contrary to the existing narrative — and the seemingly quite obvious need to do so.Reports from Sky, the BBC, the Mail, and Ben Jacobs — among others — all agree that at least “currently”, the thinking is to have a four-way mid-off between Robert Sánchez, Filip Jörgensen, Đorđe Petrović, and incoming youngster Mike Penders in the summer. They all have their strengths and weaknesses, and if we could combine them into one goalkeeper, Captain Planet-style*, we might be doing alright.
